What quality certifications do Amarsupiel baby carriers have?

All Amarsupiel baby carriers comply with the European standard for safe baby carriers. They also have outstanding textile quality certifications:

  • GRS, Global Recycling Standard. This guarantees the recycled content of our textiles, as well as socially, environmentally and chemically responsible practices in their production.
  • OEKOTEX STANDARD 100: Guarantees human-environmental safety in the use of chemical products for the manufacture of Amarsupiel fabrics.
  • GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD: Certified organic cotton in all our baby carriers.
  • ISO 9001:2012 for an effective quality management system.

Finally, we would like to remind you that all Amarsupiel's carrying systems comply with the European Standard UNE-EN 13209-1:2005 06. These products are manufactured entirely in Spain, including both the fabric and production process. We advocate a fair price for all parties involved in all processes.  

How long does it take for my product to arrive?

The delivery time of the products from the time the order is placed is 24-48 hours, which can be extended to a maximum of 4 working days in the case of islands, Ceuta or Melilla.

How do I know which size to choose?

On each product page you can find a table with the sizes and their respective measurements in cm to help you make your decision. Some products such as baby carriers, mei tais, baby carriers or bath nests are one size only. 

How is the baby ergonomically positioned in the Amarsupiel baby carriers?

The correct position is the "froggy" position, respecting the natural curvature of the back. The fabric should fit correctly around the hips, allowing for proper circulation. The baby should be placed at the height of a kiss and the airways should remain free.

Is it possible to breastfeed in Amarsupiel baby carriers?

Yes, in almost all Amarsupiel carrying systems it is possible to breastfeed without removing the baby. All you need to do is loosen the fabric. You can watch video tutorials on our youtube channel.

Thanks to its design, the T-shirt has openings that make it much easier and more comfortable to breastfeed your baby. When they are very young, there is no need to take them out of the T-shirt. However, it is likely that after a few weeks you will have to take them out so as not to strain the garment. You can see the functionalities of the T-shirt in our tutorial videos on the product pages and on our Amarsupiel youtube channel.

From when and until when can I use the Amarsupiel T-shirt?

The T-shirt can be used from birth, as long as the baby weighs at least 2.5 kg. You can use it until your baby reaches a maximum weight of 9 kg (around 6-7 months).

How does the Amarsupiel T-shirt have to fit?

The baby must be firmly inside the T-shirt. You should be able to free your hands and feel that the baby is perfectly supported. The chrysalis T-shirt is evolving and adjustable both to the baby’s height and width,  thanks to its reinforcing bands. The positioning is very important to ensure an ergonomic posture. If I choose the wrong size, can I return the product?

Yes, it can be returned as long as the product has its tags on and is in perfect condition. You have up to 3 months to return the product. For more information you can consult our delivery, size changes and returns page.

Where and how is the Amarsupiel baby carrier T-shirt made?

The T-shirt is produced entirely in Spain with an exhaustive quality control. Its technical fabric has been developed with textile engineers to achieve an optimal garment for safe and comfortable carrying. 

The Amarsupiel baby carrier T-shirt is made of 95% top quality cotton and 5% spandex, free of toxins and heavy metals. In addition, all of our babywearing products have the certifications described previously  at the top of this page.

How do I knot my baby sling?

There are different types of knots, and different baby positions. When looking on metodocanguro.com, we recommend those in which the baby is in the froggy position. On our website and Youtube channel, you can find many videos with the different types of knotting that we recommend. They also show how to do them.
