Adjust the straps until you find the perfect ergonomic carrying position.

Place the head to the side, making sure that the airways are uncovered, leaving the baby free to breathe.

Instructions:

Place the baby's head facing sideways, making sure that their airway is free and unrestricted.

The evolutionary mei tai is an ergonomic baby carrier. It is designed to be used from 6 months - 3 years of age. As an evolutionary product, it can adjust to the height and weight of your baby. It is also very similar to our backpacks and other buckled carriers. The biggest difference, however, is that the mei tai slings have better, longer straps. This allows you to tie a variety of knots, in order to place your baby in different positions for carrying.

The evolutionary mei tai baby carrier is considered to be a hybrid with the babywearing backpack. It has many components, such as the panel (rectangular piece of fabric that secures the baby's back and bottom). It is quickly fastened at the waist with the click of a buckle, similar to the backpack. The fabric straps are then tied around the baby’s and carrier's bodies. This is very typical of mei tais, which have origins from Asia.

The fabric straps’ design allows the fabric to be opened around the shoulder. This evenly distributes the baby's weight, which is something that very few babywearing systems provide. The fitted shoulder straps also give the product great versatility. The baby can be placed in many different positions for hip carries, as well as front and back carrying. All babywearing can be done hands free too!

One important thing to remember is that mei tai carrier newborn capabilities are very limited. It is not recommended to be used from birth. The fabric panel, although adjustable, is recommended for 6-7 months of age. Newborn babies are too small for this mei tai carrier.
